Google Adwords what are they doing?

Main Content No Comments »

I wasn’t planning to write something this quick.

My personal website is up and running since the beginning of April 2008 and I targetted mainly my visitors from PPC advertising via Google Adwords. I don’t have a big budget but at least that budget was enough to have about 90 till 100 visitors coming to my site per day. I didn’t had any problems with this advertising method since last week.

In my advertisement campaign I had about 30 keywords that mainly drove traffic to my website. Off course the internet marketers that are already longer out there will laugh that I was only targetting my visitors via PPC advertising. I do a lot more to drive traffic but I don’t use all these for my website. Advertising on craiglists, using traffic exchanges and doing article marketing are some of the methods I also use for traffic.

Anyway Google Adwords made my initial 30 keywords inactive. At that time I provided about 1600 keywords where instantly about 1200 keywords where made inactive since they didn’t reach the keyword CPC value.

Now we are again some days further, 1600 keywords are inactive and my advertising budget is completely gone. Google is expecting that I raise my budget with 5000% to be targetted the same way as it did for 1.5 months.

Off course I am not bound to using Google to drice traffic to my site. Honestly I am not capable of having my budget raised that much so I don’t know if you are operating in internet marketing and all related keywords aren’t meeting a CPC value if you would increase keywords by relevance, increase budget or CPC value or that you have a better way to get results out of CPC advertising. My product is costing less then my budget, I have to have at least 300 visitors a day to make one sale and definitely with using Adwords I am loosing big time.

Anyone with similar experiences are invited to comment since I am looking to other ways to reach traffic and get exposure to the product I am trying to market.

What to look for when starting a MLM business?

Main Content 1 Comment »

Yesterday I wrote an article about How Not to start a internet marketing business. A good friend of mine just wrote an article about what to look for if you want to start an MLM business. You can find that article here.

Here in the UK you have some sources you can look for information about companies. Companies in the UK need to be registered with Companies House. For some sort of companies there is an obligation to publish their annual reports, which are also deposited to Companies House to have a real good understanding how a company is performing. From Companies House or different sources (there are plenty to find on the internet) you can obtain reports about the company, directors and other stuff. These aren’t free but will give you a good indication with whom you are dealing.

A good company, even in MLM will gladly provide you with contact details of successful or, if they are really good, unsuccessful people in their MLM business.

A second thing you could do is ask the company directly. When they don’t return a call or don’t return an email than most likely their support is lacking and assistance in your MLM business is something really a doubt.

Another place where you can obtain information is the Inland Revenue or the Customs and Excise. These government bodies are likely not so keen on providing you the information requested and the information about Corporation taxes and VAT should be included in the report delivered at Companies House.

As a last resort you can obtain information about a company by looking at Court reports. If a company is failing to pay its bills then most likely they will have a CCJ against the company or the owners of the company.
If such a CCJ is paid at a time, a mark will be there that CCJ is satisfied. A CCJ is staying in records for about 6 years even if a CCJ is paid and marked satisfied.

Every company or even individuals are coming to a stage that they aren’t able to pay bills in time. Sometimes they forget to pay a bill. In other times other circumstances are there why they couldn’t pay a bill. Don’t pay that much attention on a company that only has one or two CCJ’s against them in their existence. Just look at if they are satisfied and in what period their bill was paid and the height of the amount.

Off course there will be other information available but I only looked at the point of finding information about a company.
In MLM marketing the members or distributors will certainly try to use any available channel to post their message and sell their product. If you search on the internet you certainly will find information regarding a company, a person or experiences from people with the company or product you are looking for.

Anyway if you would like to read the complete article on what to look for in an MLM business please go here

How NOT to start an internet marketing program?

Main Content No Comments »

If this is sounding familiar to you then you certainly have to read on. This is how I started.

I am fairly new in internet marketing but a very fast student. I started out on the internet with paid to read emails, surveys and clicking links to get paid something. After a couple of days you get hypnotized by what you see and in my case I signed up for a program called lawnchairmillionaire. Probably it is a good program, the only mistakes I made was not properly investigating about the product and not knowing how to promote effectively.
I was fairly impressed by the message: Get your share of the pool tonight and looking at the pool size I could hardly lose out on it. I didn’t lose out but I also didn’t make any money from it. I was too fresh to get anyone signed up in my downline. I didn’t know how to promote myself or a program.

With this in mind I made the same mistake again. Only at this moment I was successful and a bit prepared not to fall for the promises some programs make. I signed up for GRIN marketing team. With this program I learned the things I do now. I was taught in promoting, I was taught in how to use traffic exchanges and list builders. I actually created a downline.

At that point you are coming to a point that you have to learn to bring everything you have been taught into practice. I did all of that: I have a website. Sorry, more than one because this one is also mine and now I am in a stage to pick out a product to promote, to optimize my sites and to gain from my experiences and everything I read and have been taught.

The message of this article is not about failing although most people will do but to learn from your mistakes and to improve them for not making them again. Once you have a structure in place and are determined to reach your goals then everything will go well.
internet marketing is not for people who want to make quick bucks, isn’t there to put up a website and than thinking money will come in.

After this you need to maintain your downline, you need to encourage your downline members, you need to maintain your website, you need to optimize your website and create NEW or existing things that can make you a revenue in time.
The best way is to look closely on what product you have. If you only promote a marketing system and you have your own website then you can think about an affiliate program for hosting or domain services. You can incorporate advertisements to get some revenue back. Revenue out of advertising is not only for people that promote marketing programs. Advertisement and banners you can use for any website. If you promote a product like an energy drink then think about implementiung a sports affiliate program.

I truly believe there is money to make on the internet. It is just how things are evolving, how much a site is visited but above all is how much time, effort and money someone want to invest in a new opportunity.

I do promote my own program. If you want to ride along the path to make money then you can find information and sign up for my FREE lessons here.
