In my last post I talked about traffic. Before even thinking about traffic you need to think about other things. These things are your business plan, your goals and how you want to achieve these goals and with what kind of tools.
I think the percentage of failures of people didn’t plan this at all but immediately jumpstarted their activities(no, i won’t call this a business) by having the idea and come accross an online opportunity and started without a plan in internet marketing.
Off course plans and goals are able to change. The further your knowledge in an area is increasing the further your plans and goals but certainly the tools needed are changing.
You can do a lot on the internet? You can earn money by reading emails, completing surveys or something like that. You can join an affiliate program where you have to recruit members and get paid commission for that. You can sell someone else’s products and earn a commission from that or you create your own product or service. Then you can also combine these things and have something of everything in your plan.
Maybe I belong to the people that didn’t had a plan when I got into internet marketing but my plans where created after I learned several things. Things I want to do and certainly things to avoid.
My approach wasn’t the right one and because of the lack of knowledge I lost some money. And yes I still learn every day but I finally have a plan and a goal to be reached.
So if you want to start in this industry obtain information first before getting your credit card out and after that plan carefully what you want to market, how you are going to do so, who is your target audience and what means do I need to accomplish that.
